Publication Ethics and Editorial Policy
The European Journal of Molecular Pharmacy (EJMP) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, academic integrity, and responsible scholarly communication. The journal strictly follows the ethical principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adheres to internationally recognized standards for ethical publishing in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences.
EJMP ensures that all stages of the publication process—including submission, peer review, editorial decision-making, and post-publication handling—are conducted in a transparent, fair, and accountable manner to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Publication Ethics Principles
All participants in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—are expected to follow ethical responsibilities including honesty, transparency, confidentiality, and respect for intellectual property. EJMP does not tolerate any form of unethical publishing behavior.
Publication Malpractice Statement
The journal defines publication malpractice as any action that compromises the integrity of scholarly communication. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Plagiarism: Copying text, ideas, data, images, or results without proper attribution
- Self-plagiarism: Republishing one's own previously published work without disclosure or citation
- Data fabrication: Making up data or results that do not exist
- Data falsification: Manipulating research data or omitting critical results
- Duplicate submission: Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously
- Unethical authorship: Ghost authorship, gift authorship, or undisclosed contributions
- Citation manipulation: Irrelevant or excessive self-citation to influence metrics
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest
Ethical Review and Investigation Process
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools and evaluated for ethical compliance before and during peer review. If ethical concerns arise at any stage, the editorial office initiates an investigation in accordance with COPE flowcharts and guidelines.
Authors are given an opportunity to respond to allegations and provide clarification or supporting evidence. The investigation process is handled confidentially and fairly to ensure due process.
Actions Against Misconduct
Depending on the severity and nature of misconduct, EJMP may take one or more of the following actions:
- Immediate rejection of manuscript
- Request for revision or correction
- Publication of correction (erratum or corrigendum)
- Expression of concern
- Retraction of published article
- Notification to authors’ institution for further investigation
Editorial Responsibility
Editors are responsible for ensuring fair, unbiased, and confidential handling of manuscripts. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal scope, without discrimination or external influence.
